Qantas - Central Stores Facility Mascot
1. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
QANTAS required a new purpose built and integrated store to be built at Mascot This new Facility brought together various stores from many locations to a new, cutting edge facility, equipped with state of the art computer and tracking systems for QANTAS’ Engineering Department.
2. KEY CHALLENGES
- Strong community action groups required specialist stakeholder management skills
- Considerable safety and risk possibilities were inherent in the completed project necessitating vigilant and proactive management and change practices
- Strong relationship management requirement to manage a diverse collection of stakeholder groups, professionals and individuals with differing agendas
- Complex physical environmental
- Considerable design changes required constant schedule changes, and change to the reportage
- Implementation and achievement of Value Engineering strategies on this high tech greenfield site.

- Project managed the design and construct phase, procurement and contract management, approvals and change management, and commissioning and handover of the project
- Provided programming and scheduling services throughout the project lifecycle
- Provided a Value Engineering strategy
